CULCON EVENT

XXIV took place in Washington, DC on June 10-11, 2010. CULCON XXIV was co-chaired by Mr. Thierry Porté and Mr. Minoru Makihara. Details on the two co-chairs and on the panelists will be found in the attached list. Initiated by an agreement between President Kennedy and Prime Minister Ikeda in 1961, CULCON has served to focus official and public attention in both the United States and Japan on the vital cultural and educational underpinnings of the bilateral relationship.
